About Guzin Erkoc Kajak

Hello, and welcome.

am a licensed mental health counselor and EMDR Europe Accredited Therapist with more than 10 years of experience working with adults, couples, families, and small groups. My work focuses particularly on complex trauma, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and the emotional impact of living across cultures.

After earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boğaziçi University, I completed my Master's degree in Counseling Ministries at Denver Seminary in the United States. Throughout my professional journey, I have continued to specialize in trauma therapy, completing both levels of EMDR training and later earning accreditation as an EMDR Europe Accredited Therapist following extensive supervision and clinical practice.

My commitment to ongoing professional development has also led me to pursue advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), IFS-Informed EMDR, Attachment-Focused EMDR, Lifespan Integration Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I integrate these approaches thoughtfully to meet the unique needs of each client.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the ways trauma, relationships, culture, and life circumstances shape our emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

At the heart of my therapeutic approach are safety, compassion, and hope. I believe that every person's story is unique. My goal is to provide a supportive and culturally sensitive space where clients can better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Wherever you are in your journey, and whether you prefer English or Turkish, I would be honored to accompany you toward healing and growth.
